The demand for Project Management Fundamentals is not a trend, but it is a constant shift backed by hard numbers. PMI projects the global economy will need to fill 2.3 million new project-oriented roles every year through 2030, with a potential shortfall of up to 25 million project professionals if talent pipelines don't expand fast enough. The U.S. Bureau of Labour Statistics alone projects 78,200 PM openings annually over the next decade, growing at 6%, faster than the average for all occupations. As per a recent survey, the project management software market is valued at $7.24 billion in 2025. The same survey also suggests that it will hit $12.02 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 10.67%. However, only 23% of organisations currently use proper project management software.

This same trend is applicable even though AI has now entered the organisation. This makes foundational PM literacy extremely important.

The entry-level knowledge gap is accelerating as the experienced project managers retire. However, not every organization is able to adapt to hybrid work models and agile methodologies.
